Wallflowers is a photographic series that explores vanishing acts through the use of color. Inspired by Abstract Expressionist paintings à la Barnett Newman, and Erwin Wurm’s quirky One-Minute Sculptures, the photographs present a typology of ways to blend in one’s environment. While the act of perfect camouflage is almost achieved in one photograph, it is the failed attempts that tell the story of Wallflowers, as they make the person trying to vanish even more visible in contrast.
